Infotech Enterprises Limited, a Hyderabad engineering solutions provider, on Wednesday opened a new rolling stock and components (RSC) engineering centre for its long-standing partner Alstom Transport, a France-based supplier of rail products including locomotives, passenger stock and turnkey rail systems.
Established in Bangalore, the centre will cover all the engineering areas, with focus on the mechanical section. In three years’ time, 350 people will be providing Alstom’s development plan in India.
Infotech, which has been Alstom’s local engineering partner for over eight years, today also signed a five-year framework agreement with the latter for continued support by leveraging its proven expertise and capacity, a release said.
Infotech Enterprises’ scrip ended the trade at Rs 189 on the BSE on Wednesday, up 0.37%, over the previous close of Rs 188.30 a share.
