Infosys, the country’s second-largest software services company, will formally inaugurate its new campus at Pocharam here in February, according to chief executive officer and managing director Vishal Sikka.

Sikka, who visited T-Hub, an incubation initiative by the Telangana government to support informationtechnology-enabled startups, on Monday, said the new campus would house 25,000 associates.

Infosys currently has a campus in Gachibowli, with a seating capacity of 10,000.

The company announced its second campus at Pocharam in 2008. The 447-acre campus, involving an investment of Rs 1,250 crore, was scheduled to be completed in three phases of 10 years.

“The Telangana government will extend its full support to Infosys. We have also requested Sikka to support  T-Hub’s innovation programmes and he assured us that he would visit Hyderabad again to interact with the T-Hub start-up companies,” state IT and panchayat raj minister K T Rama Rao said on Monday.

Stating that Infosys was keen to fund T-Hub’s startups through its Infosys Innovation Fund, Rao said the state government was gearing up to unveil its IT policy pretty soon.
