"As part of the turnkey order, Inox will supply and install 25 units of its advanced 2MW DFIG 100 rotor dia Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for Gujarat Mineral Development Corp (GMDC)," the power utility firm said in a statement.

The project is GMDC's first order with Inox Wind and will be part of the "Inox Wind Park" of 400 Mw capacity at Rojmal, one of many such "Wind Parks" being developed by Inox across the country, it said.

GMDC, which is owned by Gujarat government, has an installed wind generating capacity of 150 MW in the state.

"We are pleased that a leading government enterprise has decided to partner with Inox Wind in providing clean, sustainable and renewable power to the society at large," Inox Wind Ltd CEO Kailash Tarachandani said.

Inox will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including wind resource assessment, building the power evacuation system, acquiring land, developing the entire site infrastructure, supplying the WTGs, erection and commissioning services as well as providing long-term operations and maintenance services to GMDC, it said.
