Intellicon to focus on exports

The Ahmedabad-based Intellicon Pvt Ltd, a provider of telecommunications, automatic identification and data capture solutions, has decided to focus on exports.
 
"We are planning to enter into the exports market. We will export our warehouse management solutions and mobile computing solutions to the Middle East, Far East and the United States," said Chetan Turakhia, director, Intellicon.
 
Intellicon started its commercial production in 1989 and has become a significant player in the CDoT technology in EPABX.
 
The company has reported a turnover of Rs 160 crore at the end of the financial year 2003-04 and it is poised to become a Rs 200 crore company by the end of the financial year 2004-05.
 
The company has become a fast track telecom manufacturing and marketing firm with its base spread over 150 channel partners across 30 cities in India, the company said. The current market offering of Intellicon comes in four brands "" Karel, Transteal, Insta and Optima "" which cater to all the telecommunication requirements of different market segments.
 
Intellicon has the entire product portfolio from EPABX to high-end communication server solution. The company has developed unique capabilities to offer VoIP, mobility, CRM, networking, hospitality and access control solutions.
 
"Intellicon was among the first few companies to offer bar-coding and data capturing solutions," said Turakhia. Intellicon offers hand-held scanners, omni directional scanners and hand-held terminals.
