International conference on personal care products in Goa

About 500 delegates from 30 nations are likely to attend the global conference on personal care products to be held in Goa from October 12.     

The theme of the four-day '2nd Internastional Conference on Soaps, Detergents and Cosmetics', to be held in Panaji, would be 'Sustainable growth with responsive care'.     

It aims to deliberate on changing paradigms, emerging technologies, market dynamics as well as environmental and regulatory issues with industry leaders, Oil Technologies' Associaiton of India (OTAI), the organiser of the event said.     

Multinational FMCG companies and institutions such as the Soap and Detergent Association, US have been invited to make presentations and put forth their views to industry representatives, business leaders, innovators and analysts.     

 

"During the past few years, the soaps, detergents and cosmetics industry has undergone significant change due to new business models, technologies as well as environmental and regulatory issues," OTAI President B R Gaikwad said here yesterday.     

During the meet, experts in various fields would present their analyses and views on the trends to come in the near future which would shape the industry, he said.     

"The conference will provide an excellent opportunity for national and international players in the industry to interact, network and share views and resources," said Chairman of the meet's Steering Committee  N B Godrej.     

Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council would be hosting a buyer-seller meet alongside the conference.
