Invesco opens support centre

Invesco Limited, the US-based global asset management company, today opened its enterprise support centre with 600 people here.

Spread over 100,000 sft, the centre would handle support services including investment operations, transfer agency administration and servicing, information technology, global procurement and financial services for the its global clientele. This is its third largest facility.

Martin L Flanagan, president and CEO, said the asset management operations in China, Taiwan and Japan in the Asian region had been growing. On India plans, he said they would enter the country if there was a right kind of opportunity through acquisition. Though one of the funds under Invesco’s management has some exposure to Indian capital markets, the company is not directly engaged in exploring investment opportunities in the country.
