Union Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy on Tuesday announced the national launch of Sachal Swasthya Seva, a rural mobile health scheme by the Indian Oil Corporation. Launched in association with Wockardt Foundation as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, IOC would be deploying close to 600 mobile healthcare units covering up to 10,000 villages across India in the next 3-4 years, according to Butola. The teams will provide free medical check ups, including free medicines to villagers.
