IOC to invest Rs 5,832cr in 2005-06

 "Our planned investment in 10th plan period is Rs 24,399.53 crore. In 
2004-05 we invest Rs 4427.95 crore in refineries, pipeline and 
diversification business. 2005-06 fiscal will see Rs 4745 crore of planed 
investment and Rs 1087 crore in development/modernisation of petrol 
pumps," he said at a press conference.  IOC is investing Rs 996 crore in diesel hydro-treatment facilities at 
Mathura Refinery and Rs 709 crore in petrol quality upgradation 
project at Mathura Refinery. While the diesel hydrotreater is under 
commissioning, petrol quality upgradation project would be 
commissioned in May.  Behuria said Rs 373 crore and Rs 390 crore are being spent on petrol 
quality upgradation project at Haldia and Koyali Refinries respectively. 
The Haldia project would be commissioned in July and the Koyali One 
in June.  The Rs 352 crore Sidhpur-Sanganer product pipeline would be 
commissioned this month while Rs 363.21 crore Chennai- Trichy-
Maduria product pipeline would be operational by July.  IOC is investing Rs 5,104 crore in paraxylene/pta unit at Panipat 
refinery which would go onstream with the doubling of the refinery 
capacity to 12 million tonnes (Rs 4,165 crore) in October this year, he 
said.  Behuria said IOCwould set up 1000 petrol stations and an equal 
number of low-cost-low-selling rural outlets in current fiscal.
