Dilbur Hussain, a contract worker of IndianOil Corporation’s Haldia Refinery who was injured in an inferno at the plant last week, succumbed to injury at Deshun Hospital in Kolkata today.
Atleast 15 people where injured in the incident, while three others are critically injured. The fire broke out by 1.20 pm on Friday near a pipeline carrying diesel to tank no – 706 at the refinery.On Friday, diesel from the ruptured line got sprayed over the people working in nearby areas and the three critical labourers suffered 50-60 per cent injury.
Meanwhile, sources confirmed that a team from the IOC headoffice will investigate the incident.
