IRB ties up funds for two highway projects

Infrastructure development and construction company IRB Infrastructure Developers has tied up funds to the tune of Rs 1,824 crore for its two highway projects — Pathankot-Amritsar highway and Jaipur-Deoli highway.

The Pathankot to Amritsar highway project is being built under phase III of the National Highway Development Project on the Design Build Finance Operate and Transfer pattern, a company release said.

For this project the company has acheived a financial closure of Rs 924-crore from banks and financial institutions.

The Jaipur-Deoli highway project is also being developed under the Phase III of NHDP, the release said, adding that for this project the company has tied up Rs 900 crore from banks and financial institutions.

 

"Our track record of timely payments, successful and timely implementation of projects helped us to raise the required finances for our projects on favourable terms in reasonable time," IRB Infrastructure Developers' Chairman & Managing Director V D Mhaiskar, said.

IRB is the largest toll road operating company in India.
