ISMT Q2 net up 25% at Rs 29cr

ISMT, seamless steel tubes maker, has posted 25% increase in net profit at Rs 28.76 crore for the quarter ended September 2007 (Q2FY08) when compared with Rs 23.10 crore in Q2FY07.

Its total income increased 6% to Rs 306.69 crore for the quarter from Rs 288.50 crore in Q2FY07.

During the quarter, exports grew by 47% to Rs 68.43 crore and accounted for 32% of total tube sales.

For the half year ended September 2007, net profit stood at Rs 51.21 crore and total income at Rs 578.49 crore.
