Italy based agricultural machinery manufacturing company Maschio Gaspardo plans to invest additional Rs 100 crore In India in its Ranjangaon plant. The company has already invested Rs 200 crore in this facility which is operational since last one year. The company has manufactured over 10,000 machines from this plant and intends to produce 30,000 machines in 2014 for the domestic market.
Commenting on this, Riulini Alessio, managing director, Maschio Gaspardo said, “Through our Indian operations, the Maschio Gasparado Group is looking forward to work very closely with the farmers by developing dealers network across India very soon. We have studied all the regions, agronomy, farming practices of India at micro level & ready to launch suitable crop wise products for India market for soil preparation, seeding, crop care, residue management & post harvesting. MGIPL really aim to increase per capita income of farmers & hence the growth and development of Indian agriculture.”
The plant manufactures rotary tillers, mulchers and seeders for the domestic market. Maschio Gaspardo group specializes in the production of agricultural machinery for tillage, sowing, seeding, landscaping, forage-making, sprayers and crop care. Gaspardo had a partnership with M & M for its OEMs.
The Group has 200 plus models and sells about 60,000 machines each year.
