ITC Foods aims to enter Guinness Book

ITC Foods here on Wednesday announced its ambitious plan to enter the prestigious Guinness World Records through a novel sapling drive under its 'Sunfeast Hara Banao Campaign'.
 
The company plans to plant 2 lakh saplings on a single day during the last week of this month at Bhadrachalam in Andhra Pradesh where the tobacco major's paper plant is located.
 
The record will be for the maximum number of saplings on a single day, according to the company's paper division chief executive, Pradeep Dhoble.
 
Malaysia is stated to be currently holding the record for planting the maximum number of 1.1 lakh saplings in a day.
