ITC Infotech, the technology arm of tobacco to hotels major has announced its foray into the business process outsourcing (BPO) segment with the signing of a joint venture with ClientLogic Corporation, a BPO player in the contact centre space.
Termed as CLI3L (ClientLogic ITC Infotech India Ltd) Contact Centre, this joint venture also marks the entry of another MNC on to the highly cost effective Indian BPO segment.
The joint venture is worth $5 million and is expected to break-even in the first year of operations itself. The joint venture currently handles offshore customer care in India for several international Fortune 500 companies.
Already 650-strong, it is expected to more than double its capacity in a year
