FMCG firm ITC on Thursday reported an increase of 10% in standalone net profit at Rs 2,385 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2,166 crore during the April-June quarter a year ago.
Net sales of the Kolkata-based company moved up 8.28% to Rs 13,156.68 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 12,150.48 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, ITC said in a BSE filing.
Shares of the company ended 0.06% lower at Rs 250.65 on BSE.
