Fortune Park Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the tobaccos and hospitality major ITC, is planning to open 25 hotels in the country over the next 12-13 months, a top company official said here today.

"We had opened seven hotels in 2009 and will open 25 more over the next 12-13 months," ITC Senior Executive Vice-President (Hotels Division) Pawan Verma told reporters.

Fortune operates in the mid-to-upscale space and already has 58 alliances in 44 cities. Of this, 33 are operational now. The company today launched its 33rd property, Fortune Park LakeCity in Thane near here.

"With the launch of this hotel, Fortune has further strengthened its position as a leading player in the first class hotel segment," Verma said.

ITC also plans to launch two more luxury hotels in the country in the next two years. "We have launched our eighth luxury collection hotel in Bangalore last month and will open two more hotels in Chennai and Kolkota in two years," Verma said, adding three-four projects are still on the drawing board stage.

"We expect a 20-25 per cent revenue growth from the hotel business next fiscal," he said.
