Its ringing wedding bells for the TVS Group

R Dinesh, who belongs to the fourth generation of the $6.5 billion TVS Group, is all set to get married to Sudha Balasubramanian, granddaughter of S S Vasan, who founded the Ananda Vikatan Group.
 
47-year old Dinesh is currently the Managing Director of TVS Logistics Services Ltd. Besides, he also serves as the Joint Managing Director of TVS & Sons Ltd and heads various other businesses that comes under TVS & Sons Ltd. Currently, the companies under his management have a turnover of little over Rs 6,000 crore.

The wedding is on November 20th at Madurai, where TVS Group belongs to, and two receptions will be followed in Chennai.
 
 
The core businesses, which Dinesh heads is TVS Logistics, earlier a business unit of TV Sundram Iyengar and Sons, was established as a separate firm in December 2004. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and TVS Capital Funds Ltd are minority stakeholders. The company made few acquisitions, in US, Europe in other countries in the last three years.
 
The company so far raised two rounds of PE funds and said by the end of the current fiscal the company expects to clock a revenue of around Rs 2,500 crore from Rs 168.60 crore in 2005-06, an increase of around 1400% jump. By 2015, the company has set a target to become a $1 billion company, and 50% of which will be contributed through inorganic growth.
