Iveco tie-up in the works

Iveco, one of the world's largest manufacturer in the transport sector and a part of Fiat, is likely to roll into India through an alliance with Tata Motors.

The euro 9 billion company had initiated discussions with Tata Motors after deciding to exit Ashok leyland.

"The alliance with Tata Motors will be a part of Fiat's global tie-up with the Tata company," said sources close to the development. A Tata Motors executive said "it was worth considering in future."
