The irrigation and water divisions of Hyderabad-based infrastructure company, IVRCL Limited, has bagged orders aggregating Rs 1,255.67 crore.
These include a Rs 1,022.58-crore order from Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited for the Tubchi-Babaleshwar lift head works under the lift irrigation scheme, which aims at providing water from Krishna river for the development of drought-prone areas of Jamakhandi, Athani and Nijapur talukas in Karnataka.
This project is expected to irrigate about 80,000 acre.

The scope of the project includes construction of gravity type intake channel of 1.4-kilometre long, jackwell-cum-pump house, delivery chamber, panel room, control room, a 220-Kv capacity substation, and an 11-km transmission line with required volute pumps to deliver a total discharge of 20.03 cumecs of water. The project is to be executed in 24 months, IVRCL said in a filing to the BSE on Monday.
The company’s water division has bagged orders worth Rs 233.09 crore, including an order of Rs 137.49 crore from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and a Rs 95.60-crore order from Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, which are to be executed in 27 months and 36 months respectively.
IVRCL Limited’s scrip is currently trading at Rs 15.35 on the BSE, up 4.42%, over the previous close of Rs 14.70 a share.
