IVRCL starts operations at Chennai desalination plant

IVRCL Assets and Holdings Limited (formerly IVR Prime Urban Developers Limited), the publicly-listed real estate subsidiary of the infrastructure major IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Limited, has commenced the commercial operations of its desalination plant at Minjur near Chennai. The project, was implemented on a design, build, own, operate and transfer (DBOOT) basis on a 25-year bulk water purchase agreement with the Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board to supply 100 million litre per day (MLD) of potable water, the company said in a filing to the BSE on Monday.
