J Kumar Infraprojects, the Mumbai-based civil engineering and infrastructure development company, has bagged a Rs 559.40 crore order from Mumbai Metropolitan Regulatory Development Authority (MMRDA) and the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
As per the order, the company will build 16 skywalks in the metropolitan city.
This is a part of the overall project of having 50 skywalks mainly to facilitate discharge of people from railway stations
MSRDC is planning to construct 17 skywalks by June next year at high pedestrian density areas around railway stations. A typical skywalk would have a ground clearance of 5.5 m equipped with a steel superstructure and polycarbonate roofing.
MMRDA is the the nodal agency for infrastructure development in Mumbai.
Following the above order the order book position of J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd now stands at about Rs 1,272 crore.
