Ahmedabad-based luxury lifestyle retail chain, JadeBlue is in talks with domestic apparel brands for exclusive retailing in Gujarat. With an intention to take its presence further in India by opening more stores, JadeBlue is adding more brands to its portfolio.

"We have both in-house as well as other well known domestic apparel brands whom we retail exclusively from our stores in Gujarat. However, we are in talks with more such players to expand our brand portfolio, apart from launching our own private brands," said Jitendra Chauhan, CMD, JadeBlue Lifestyle India Ltd.

In terms of expansion, the company would be opening two more stores to take its total exclusive store tally in the country to 20. Moreover, according to Chauhan, JadeBlue would be focusing on South India region initially to exploit its success in luxury men's wear segment in Andhra Pradesh. "We would be focusing initially on southern states like Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu as well as Andhra Pradesh where we are already present," he added.

The retail chain recently opened a whopping 12,000 sq ft store in Ahmedabad, its 17th in India. The store offers formals, casuals, occasion, party & ethnic wear, accessories & grooming products, international brands, the best of Indian fashion and bespoke tailoring under one roof, apart from designer sherwanis, a large range of kurtas and indo-western that can complete any wedding ensemble.

"Ahmedabad is one of the fastest growing cities and offers excellent opportunities for super and hyper luxury brands to flourish. Additionally, levels of awareness and spending are also high and the market is still not as cluttered as compared to metros. This new flagship store focuses on two crucial areas. To cater to the growing need of super premium brands amongst our loyal customers, we have made new luxury brands available at this store," Chauhan said.

Having pegged a turnover of Rs 122 crore, JadeBlue is estimating a revenue of Rs 165 crore by the end of the financial year 2012-13.
