Jagdish Hotels plans 4-star biz hotel in Pune

Jagdish Group of Hotels today announced plans to expand operations by setting up a four-star business hotel in Hinjawadi near Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, 30 km from Pune city.

Akhil Agarwal, director,  Jagdish Group of Hotels, said at the inauguration of Orbett - a new, 26 room business hotel in the central business district of
Deccan Gymkhana, that talks are on with hospitality management firms for a tie-up for management and co-branding.  Agarwal said the company is in discussions with Holiday Inn and Dawny Day, and a decision is expected soon.

The Hinjawadi property will be a 80-room four star hotel catering to the number of information technolgy companies in the area. The hotel will be
operational in the last quarter of 2009, and will come up with an investment of about Rs 30 crore, he added.

Jagdish Group has a chain six hotels now with a total room stock of
over 200, Agarwal said. He said the group offers 'pure vegetarian' as its
selling proposition. All the group hotels offer vegetarian dining facilities, he said, adding that there is a rising demand for such hotels.
