The Rs 160 crore Jaipuria Group has launched its second business school "" Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM) "" at Noida. The firm has invested Rs 15 crore in its Noida institute to provide training in practical management. |
The Noida campus is spread over 4 acres of prime institutional land. Beginning with the current academic session, JIM-Noida will offer All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved 2-year full-time MBA programme and four 1-year full-time post graduate diploma courses, journalism & mass communication diploma, insurance and risk management (IRDA approved) and construction project management and construction risk management (in collaboration with the Michigan State University under the aegis of CIDC). |
The core faculty for the courses comprise specialists drawn from the industry. |
The group has been running a similar management institute in Lucknow since 1995. The Lucknow institute is rated among the top three management schools in Uttar Pradesh and ranked 36th in the list of 1,000 top B-schools in the country. |
The Jaipuria Group also runs a senior secondary school in Lucknow. It also plans to invest an additional Rs 30 crore in its various education and training initiatives. |
JD Singh, director of the Noida institute, said, "The institute aims to provide individuals a platform to step into the corporate world with proper understanding of business fundamentals. The curriculum is drawn from industry and academia to provide aspirants a good base." |
Besides MBA and BBA programmes, JIM-Noida plans to introduce courses in the service management area, especially focusing on healthcare and hospital management, hospitality and tourism management, tourism service management, integrated marketing management besides ITES services like BPO and call centre management. |
