Jaquar, a leading bath-fitting firm, is setting up a Rs 45-crore project in Bhiwadi in Rajasthan. The company also plans to establish an export-oriented unit (EOU) in the state. |
Stating this at a press conference here, Marketing Director Rajesh Mehra said the company's Rajasthan turnover was Rs 3 crore last year, which is sought to be increased to Rs 4 crore this year. |
He said around 90 per cent of the hotels that were set up or being set up were using the company's products. After cornering around a 60 per cent market share in bathware products in the country, the firm now planned to increase its exports, Mehra said. |
"We are exporting to the UK and the Middle East, and plan to identify new markets and increase our exports," he said. |
On the launch of the company's sixteenth orientation centre, Mehra said it was the largest display of bath fittings and accessories. Jaquar has launched orientation centres in Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Siliguri, Surat, and Bhopal. |
The orientation centre is not just a display unit for Jaquar products, it is of assistance to architects and interior designers. It will equip them with greater expertise in bath technology and aesthetics, through regular interaction. |
The regular training programmes would enhance the skills of plumbers, Mehra said. In this connection, Jaquar has tied up with three major international firms in bath fittings and accessories""Hansgrohe, Aquis, and Swarovski. |
