Jayshree Tea net up 50% to Rs 4.33 cr
 
Jayshree Tea & Industries has witnessed a 50 per cent jump in net profit from Rs 4.33 crore in 2003-04 to Rs 7.19 crore in 2004-05.
 
Turnover increased to Rs 228.37 crore (Rs 200.71 crore). The tea division posted a profit of Rs 6.14 crore, but the infotech division suffered a loss of Rs 92 lakh.
 
Marico Q4 net up 44% to Rs 23.6 cr
 
Marico's net profit rose 44 per cent at Rs 23.64 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005, compared with Rs 16.33 crore during the corresponding quarter in 2004. Total revenue increased 8.5 per cent at Rs 234.48 crore (Rs 216.11 crore).
 
The company has declared an interim dividend of 17.5 per cent. Marico's consolidated net profit for the year ending 2005 grew 27 per cent at Rs 73.79 crore against Rs 58 crore for the year ending 2004. Total revenue grew 12 per cent at Rs 953.69 crore (Rs 851.72 crore).
 
NCPL net up 154% to Rs 47 cr
 
The Bharuch-based Narmada Chematur Petrochemicals Ltd (NCPL) posted the highest ever net profit at Rs 46.69 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005. The net profit rose 154 per cent, compared with Rs 18.40 crore registered in 2003-04.
 
The profit for the fourth quarter rose to Rs 22.42 crore from Rs 2.33 crore in the last year. Turnover during the year perked up by 48 per cent to Rs 441.77 crore.
 
The earning per share (EPS) in the year 2004-05 went up to Rs 7.58 from Rs 2.99 in the previous year. The NCPL board has recommended a dividend at 15 per cent, i.e. Rs 1.50 per share of Rs 10 each, for the year.
 
Pantaloon Q3 net up 171% to Rs 10.67 cr
 
Pantaloon Retail (India) has posted a 171 per cent rise in net profit for the third quarter ended March, 2005, at Rs 10.67 crore compared with corresponding previous period's Rs 3.94 crore. Net sales rose 79 per cent to Rs 274.95 crore (Rs 153.55 crore).
 
"Efficiency will keep increasing in the company in the years to come," Kishore Biyani, managing director and CEO, said.
 
During the nine-month period ended March, 2005, the company posted a 84.5 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 27.75 crore from the corresponding previous period's Rs 15.04 crore. Net sales went up to Rs 714.29 crore (Rs 445.05 crore.
