Haryana-based JCB India Limited, a leading earthmoving equipment manufacturer, has opened a new dealership in Andhra Pradesh - M/s MGB Motor & Auto Agencies Private Limited. The company that sold 5,500 machines last fiscal is planning to sell 7,000 this year. |
It will also be adding new machines to its existing product range. JCB India is a fully-owned subsidiary of $ two billion JC Bamford Excavators Limited, UK. |
Addressing mediapersons, Onkar Singh Sunar, managing director, JCB India said that the company earns 30 per cent of its revenues from south India, with five per cent being from Andhra Pradesh. |
"We now have 12 outlets and three dealers in the state besides an office in Hyderabad," he added. JCB's new dealer MGB, is a Rs 100 crore group with branches at Kurnool, Warangal, Khammam and Nizamabad. MGB is targeting to sell 200 machines this fiscal. |
"This year, we will also be adding new machines to our existing product range. These will be excavators of 13, 20 and 33 tonne capacity," Sunar added. The company offers 11 machines in four product types namely backhoe loaders, loading shovels, tracked excavators and skid steer loaders. |
"We have been growing at a rate of between 40 per cent and 45 per cent and 50 per cent of our sales are repeat sales," Sandeep Singh, vice-president, sales and marketing, JCB India said, adding that they have a market share of 80 per cent in India. |
The company sold 38,000 machines last fiscal on a global basis. It has manufacturing facilities in UK, US, Brazil and China. At present, in India the company has only one facility in Delhi and is in the process of setting up another in Pune. |
"The $100 million Pune facility will be a hub for exporting machine components and will become operational by June this year," Sunar said. The company is also expanding its existing facility in Delhi. |
