Jet Airways has announced the appointment of Amit Agarwal as its chief financial officer. Agarwal who was head of finance in wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy joined the airline in September but his appointment was confirmed now upon receipt of security clearance.
In a statement Jet Airways said Agarwal has more than 24 years of experience in finance roles in companies in India and abroad. Prior to that he held various leadership roles at Arcelor Mittal - Europe and Essar Steel.
Agarwal will join the operating committee that has been tasked by the board of directors to lead the airline's growth and strategy.
Jet Airways has not had a full-time CFO since May 2014 and Ravichandran Narayan has been the acting CFO.
