Plagued by mounting losses, private airline Jet Airways has sacked at least 25 expatriate pilots, including captains of Boeing 737 aircraft, a Jet spokesperson said today.
The expatriates get between $15,000 and $18,000 in salaries every month, besides perquisites such as five-star hotel accommodation and business-class conveyance to their home countries.
Earlier, Jet had sacked around 400 support staff but later rescinded its move by taking back all of them.
