Jet sets record - 36,406 passengers in 1 day

Jet Airways set a new record in the history of Indian civil aviation by flying 36,406 passengers with a seat factor of 86% on February 15, 2006.

According to a release issued by Jet to the BSE today, this is the first time that an airline in India has flown 36,406 passengers from its available capacity of 42,522 seats on its domestic & international sectors.

"The achievement can be attributed to the seamless co-ordination between the management, marketing and sales aptly supported by the highly efficient revenue & yield management system of the company," the release added.
