He told PTI that there has been shortage of 150,000 hotel rooms as stated by Union Tourism Minister Ambika Soni, while 50 per cent of the demand is likely to be met by the current projects, he said.
There is a major shortage of budget hotels in the country and the demand is increasingly growing due to rapid growth in business and leisure travels in addition to tourists.
Against this, hotel Surya Palace of JHL is involved in developing hotel rooms and structures on a regular basis, wherein the entire structure can be assembled and errected very easily, in quick time, Shah added.
JHL has set up a factory in Debhasa village on the outskirt of the city for this purpose, Shah said. The rooms will be factory-built, alngwith bays and common areas and a hotel can be constructed in just 120 days, he claimed.

"Normally it takes about three years to construct a hotel by conventional methods," Shah said.
This will be an ideal solution to overcome limitations of time posed by traditrional capacity-building processes and also offer lower gestation periods for hotel investments as well as flexibility of relocation in cases of fall in demand, Shah said.
