Tyre manufacturer J K Industries has reported net profit of Rs 4.50 crore for the quarter ended March 2006 against a loss of Rs 1.99 crore reported for the same period last year.
 
The company's net sales was up by 27.48 per cent to Rs 625.04 crore for the quarter ended March 31 2006. Operating Profit (EBIDTA) at Rs 41 crore recorded an increase of 46 per cent for the quarter.
 
KPIT Cummins net at Rs 10.27 cr
 
IT consulting firm KPIT Cummins Infosystems has posted a net profit of Rs 10.27 crore on total revenues of Rs 90.16 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006. For the 12-month period ended March 31, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 32.56 crore on total revenues of Rs 318.21 crore.
 
KPIT Cummins expects a net profit in the range of $11.25 million to $12 million, a growth of 51-61 per cent over the previous year.
 
The company's board has approved an increase in authorised share capital from Rs 12 crore to Rs 30 crore. It has also recommended a 35 per cent dividend or Rs 1.75 per share of face value of Rs 5 each.
 
MICO Q1 net jumps 25%
 
Motor Industries Company Ltd (MICO) has registered 25.25 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 114.91 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 (Q1 FY 2006) as compared with Rs 91.74 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 (Q1 FY 2005).
 
Total income rose by 40.35 per cent to Rs 929.29 crore in Q1 of FY 2006 from Rs 662.08 crore in Q1 FY 2005, according to a notification issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
 
The company has posted 33.49 per cent rise in its operating profit at Rs 207.06 crore during the quarter ending March 31, 2006 as against Rs 155.11 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
