JK Lakshmi Cement, a dominant north-based cement maker, has posted a rise of 10% in its net profit for the quarter ended March, 31 at Rs 33.34 crore compared with the corresponding quarter last year.
The company's net sales, however, improved marginally by 2% to Rs 535.77 crore.
For the year ending March, 2013, company's net sales rose 20% to Rs 2,055 crore while its net profit went up 62% to Rs 175.74 crore against Rs 108.78 crore in FY12.
The cement maker has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.5 per share. On BSE, the shares of JK Lakshmi close strong at Rs 105.15, up 0.24% on Wednesday.
