JK Paper PAT rises 28% on higher sales, prices

JK Paper has registered 28 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs 12.18 crore for its second quarter ended December 2006 on higher sales and increased paper prices. The company's gross sales and other income for the quarter increased 21 per cent to Rs 246 crore, over the corresponding quarter last year.

Kohinoor Foods net profit up 46%

Kohinoor Foods reported a net profit of Rs 8.04 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2006, 46.18 per cent higher from Rs 5.50 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company's net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 181.61 crore, up 29.21 per cent over Rs 140.43 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of 2005-06.

Virinchi Tech net profit dips 7%

Virinchi Technologies, a Hyderabad-based IT products and services company, witnessed a marginal decline of 7 per cent in its net profit at Rs 2.09 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, compared with Rs 2.26 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Its net sales, however, grew 33 per cent to Rs 8.96 crore during the quarter, against Rs 6.73 crore. The company's paid-up share capital stood at Rs 13.90 crore during the quarter under review compared with Rs 13.82 crore, while its EPS (not annualised) was Rs 1.51, vis-a-vis Rs 1.64 in the same period last year.
