JK Paper India's leading branded paper company, has posted 79% jump in its net profit at Rs 26.66 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as against Rs 14.89 crore for the same period last year.
The company with an annual production capacity of 455,000 tonnes, reported gross sales of Rs 710.87 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal, a marginal 4% growth from the previous fiscal.
"The improvement in performance is mainly due to higher production and sales, enriched product mix, continuous improvements in operating efficiencies and input cost reduction in comparison with corresponding quarter," said Harsh Pati Singhania, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, JK Paper.
The company continues to enhance its farm forestry programme which has made it a net green company i.e. it plants more trees than it uses.
