JPC seeks extension

The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), probing the pesticide content in soft drinks, has sought extension till the beginning of Parliament's budget session for presentation of report.

A motion seeking extension was moved by JPC chairman Sharad Pawar.

The JPC was set up during the monsoon session following a report by a non-governmental organisation that soft drinks contained pesticides above required limits.
