JSPL projects will not be affected by coal controversy

In recent reports, JSPL's name has surfaced in relation irregularities over coal block allocations to private companies

Naveen Jindal-owned Jindal Steel and Power(JSPL) today said its projects would not get affected because of ongoing controversy over coal block allocation.

"The expansion plans which had been firmed up will not get affected with controversies," Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) director VK Mehta said.

He was here at the launch of retail brand Jindal Panther.Mehta claimed the company has adequate raw material linkages for the Orissa expansion (3.5 million tonne) at Angul and hence the project was on track and schedule.
