JSW Steel today reported nine % increase in its crude steel production in January to 5.8 lakh tonnes from 5.33 lakh tonnes a year earlier.
The Sajjan Jindal-led firm's flat rolled products' output increased by 39 % to 4.62 lakh tonnes during the month from 3.34 lakh tonnes in the same month last year, it said in a statement.
However, long rolled products' production dipped to 0.91 lakh tonnes registering a 10 % decline from 1.01 lakh tonnes in January 2010.
