Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL), which operates Domino's Pizza chain, today announced its entry into the Sri Lankan market with the opening of its first store in Colombo.
"Expansion to Sri Lanka is an integral part of our regional growth plans. Sri Lanka presents a good growth opportunity for our brand," Jubilant FoodWorks Chief Executive Officer Ajay Kaul said in a statement.
The company said in Sri Lanka it would focus on Pizza home delivery services besides offering all day dine-in option to consumers at the store.
The company had earlier announced that it would open three Domino's stores in Sri Lanka in this fiscal. Besides, it is also looking at launching the brand in Bangladesh.
In India, the company operates 392 stores.
Besides, the firm is looking to tap the internet and social media to boost sales. It recently launched online ordering system pan-India and expects 6% of its overall sales to come from the platform this fiscal.
At present, online sales contribute around 4% to its total deliveries. Last fiscal, the firm had a turnover of Rs 678 crore.
