Jubilant FoodWorks Q3 net surges 67% to Rs 19 cr

Jubilant FoodWorks, which runs fast food retail chain Dominos Pizza, today posted 66.7% jump in net profit to Rs 18.95 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, over the same period last fiscal.

The company had a net profit of Rs 11.37 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2009, Jubilant Foodworks said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"We have generated a good sales momentum in the third quarter with a strong operating performance for our business. The key factors to our performance are a - strong brand, constant innovation, customer satisfaction, effective and efficient operations," Jubilant FoodWorks Chief Operating Officer Ajay Kaul said.

 

During the period, the company's net sales stood  at Rs 185.63 crore, a 58.48% increase from Rs 117.13 crore over the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The company said during the quarter it witnessed a same store revenue growth of 35.7% over the corresponding period last fiscal. At present, the firm operates 364 food outlets in the country and had opened 25 new stores during the quarter.
