Pharmaceutical firm Jubilant Organosys today reported an 11-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 137.16 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010.
Total income from operations rose to Rs 994.32 crore for the January-March quarter from Rs 843.67 crore in the same period a year ago, Jubilant Organosys said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board of directors have proposed a dividend of Rs 2 per equity share on the face value of Rs 1 to the shareholders of the company, the filing added.
"Going forward, the buoyancy in growth continues and is mainly driven by our healthy order book position. The organic growth will be fuelled by new funding enthused in the company’s capital structure," Jubilant Organosys Chairman & MD Shyam S Bhartia and Co-CMD Hari S Bhartia said.
For the year ended March 31, 2010, consolidated net profit rose to Rs 421.46 crore, up 48.83 per cent over that in 2008-09.
