After successfully promoting watches, jewellery, perfumes and writing instruments as "luxury" items, lifestyle retail chain Just In Vogue is now promoting a range of leather products as "luxury items" in the western India market. The company having 16 outlets in eight cities is planning major expansion with 12 new outlets coming up by financial year end with a focus on western India. Just In Vogue's marketing-head Manoj Subramanium told Business Standard today that the company has launched leather bags in Gujarat ahead of Navaratri festival and the same has registered huge sales. "We already have 16 outlets in major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Hyderabad. We have 'Central' mall as strategic partner and our next aim is to open 12 new outlets by March 08," Subramanium said. With annual sales worth Rs 100 crore, the company is planning one new outlet each in Pune, adjoining Pimpri-Chinchwad and Nashik. "The western India market is most dynamic and we want to concentrate on it. Leather bags for women, wallets and laptop bags would be henceforth promoted as luxury items," he added. |
