JVL Agro Industries, the company engaged in manufacturing vanaspati and refined edible oil, has posted 7.3 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 7.35 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 6.85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net sales during the quarter, however, perked up 14.46 per cent to Rs 326.79 crore from Rs 285.51 crore.
During the nine months period ending December 31, 2008, the company showed a net profit of Rs 27.89 crore on a turnover of Rs 1,091.98 crore as against Rs 17.74 crore and Rs 790.40 crore in the corresponding period last year, respectively.
