Kajaria Ceramics Limited, India's leading tile maker has reported a net profit after tax of Rs 11.32 crore in the quarter ended June 2010 as against Rs 6.04 crore in the quarter ended June 2009.
For the first quarter the company has reported a total Income from operations of Rs 207.05 crore which is an increase of 29.50 per cent from Rs 159.88 crore reported in the corresponding quarter ended June 2009.
The company said in a release that it plans to invest Rs 125 crore at Gailpur plant (Rajasthan) in the expansion of high end polished vitrified tiles and glazed vitrified tiles capacity. The plant is expected to start production in December 2010.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 64.95 up 1.09 per cent from its previous close at Bombay Stock Exchange.
