Kale Consultants have posted a net loss of Rs 19.5 lakh for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 compared with a net profit of Rs 94.7 lakh for the corresponding quarter in March 2004.
 
Total income for the current quarter was 27 per cent higher at Rs 15.71 crore against Rs 12.41 during the similar quarter in 2004.
 
RCF net down 16% to Rs 141 cr
 
Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers has announced a 16 per cent fall in net profit at Rs 140.96 crore for the year ended March 2005, compared with Rs 167.79 crore last year.
 
Turnover rose 21 per cent to Rs 2829.78 crore (Rs 2345.89 crore). Its board of directors has recommended a final dividend of 14 per cent in addition to an interim dividend of 3 per cent.
 
Torrent Q4 PAT down 65% to Rs 3.3 cr
 
Ahmedabad-based Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd (TPL) has posted a 65 per cent dip in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 3.3 crore in the fourth quarter of the last financial year against Rs 9.8 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Net sales fell to Rs 104.46 crore (Rs 106.71 crore).
 
Company officials said the drop in sales was owing to the anticipated VAT implementation and also withdrawal of its high-selling Toroxx following a ban order from Government of India. On a yearly basis, the company's consolidated sales rose 16 per cent to Rs 516.33 crore from Rs 445 crore in the previous year.
 
Consolidated exports grew 96 per cent to Rs 136.96 crore (Rs 69.78 crore). Though the company had faced an overall major beating during the fourth quarter, its sales from contract manufacturing business were up at Rs 94.62 crore as against Rs 91.83 crore on a yearly basis.
