Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) today said it has secured new orders worth over Rs 1,130 crore in international and domestic markets.
The global EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) player in power and infrastructure contracting sector, has bagged two projects worth Rs 500 crore in Zambia, for supply and erection of 330 KV transmission line of 446 km, the company said in a statement.
The company has also bagged a contract from Power Grid worth approximately Rs 330 crore for supply and erection of 765 KV D/C transmission line of 140 km.

The company has signed transmission agreement with MP Power Transmission Company to develop a transmission line BOOT project.
The project scope involves designing, financing, construction, commissioning, operate, and maintenance of 240 km of 400 KV Satpura Ashta transmission line for the period 25 years with an extension of 10 years on annuity basis, the statement said.
"We continue to hold strong presence in Africa region by winning the latest Zambia project, along with maintaining a good share in PGCIL contracts.
"The MPTL BOOT project holds strategic importance for the company's growth plans in terms of improving return on equity, sustainable growth and right asset allocation. Our judicious approach in taking BOOT projects is evident from the fact that, we have taken second project only after successfully starting operations of first project," KPTL Managing Director Ranjit Singh said.
