Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) today said it has bagged orders worth Rs 400 crore from Algerian State Electricity Company for supplying transmission equipment.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, KPTL said it has bagged three projects totalling Rs 400 crore ($81 million) from the Algerian government for its state electricity company. The project is scheduled to be completed within 8-15 months.
The project involves engineering, procurement and construction related work, including supply of towers and construction of the transmission lines, it said.
"Our order book has crossed $1 billion (Rs 5,000 crore) out of which overseas projects exceeds Rs 2,200 crore, which is a significant achievement for the group," KPTL Executive Director Manish Mohnot said.
The company has successfully completed six transmission line projects worth Rs 500 crore in Algeria in the recent past, the filing added.
Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission settled at Rs 325.8, up nearly 2% on the BSE today.
