The company, which has been marketingAndroid-based smart phones, has recently signed an agreement withMicrosoft for license to use Windows operating system in its mobiledevice.

"It is not easy to make such aphone. The cost will be a little high. We have a target to launch thedual-operating system phone by June-July," he added.

It may be noted that Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president and manager for Windows Phone Program Management, Microsoft, on February 23 while elaborating on signingdeal with various mobile phone manufacturers including Karbonn, said,"We are adding support for Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 and 400 series chipsets, with options that support all major cellulartechnologies... Time to market will be very fast," said Hasija. The plans are on the paper now, but the company is seriously working on it since the government has recently come out with a policy on electronic clusters and even the State governments are coming and attracting the mobile industry.

"In fact, there is a lot of racebetween the different governments. You will find this year a lot ofmobile industry moving into India. Our only problem is to set up aproper supply chain, but naturally  that will come in once we put upthe factory. The volumes have come. Once the factory comes up, the suppliers also put their facility here, this will happen this year, I am sure. We are also planning to do it," he added.
