Nikos Kardassis will become the next chief executive officer (CEO) of Jet Airways, taking over the reins from Wolfgang Prock-Schauer who will step down on October 15, 2009. Kardassis, who heads the private carrier’s US operations, had been the CEO of Jet Airways earlier too from 1994 to 1999. Prock-Schauer will go on to join British Midland PLC (a UK-based scheduled airline) as its CEO. He had been with Jet Airways since June 2003, a period during which the airline expanded its international operations.
