Karur Vysya Bank net profit declines 11%

Gross NPA rose to Rs 902.74 crore during the quarter as compared to Rs 732.04 crore posted same quarter last year

Karur Vysya Bank Limited (KVB) has reported a profit of Rs 126.31 crore during the quarter ended September 2016, with a decline of 11.2 per cent as compared to Rs 142.22 crore, a year ago.

Bank's total income experienced a 2.6 per cent growth to Rs 1610.77 crore from Rs 1570.27 crore, a year ago.

KVB's Gross NPA rose to Rs 902.74 crore from Rs 732.04 crore, a year ago, as far as per centage terms it rose to 2.29 per cent from 1.96 per cent, a year ago.

Net NPA rose to Rs 565.14 crore (1.44 per cent) from Rs 354.52 crore (0.96 per cent), a year ago.
